Community ENGAGEMENT
Tauranga City Council
Community Engagement Campaign for Long Term Planning
Tauranga is New Zealand's 5th largest city and fastest growing!
The Council was seeking to create a long term plan for the area, supported by to create an overall vision for where the area was heading and what was important for the community.
To inform this, the council engaged with the community, businesses and cultural groups to better understand what they love about the area and what they would like to see changed in the future.
Focusing in on values and ideals rather than requesting formal submissions about topics. We encouraging a wide range of views from people of all ages and back grounds.
I shaped the campaign from strategic, execution and reporting, across print, digital and social platforms.
Resulting in a lot of great forward thinking feedback from long term residents and new comers alike on how they want to shape the area. From making it safer for their kids to how to shape large scale infrastructure projects.
